review policy

If you would like me to review a book, or if you would like to send me a book to review, here are some things you probably want to keep in mind.

Some of the kinds of books I like to read:

• YA contemporary
• YA fantasy
• adult memoirs (graphic novel memoirs even more)
• Canadian literature (preferably lesser known, diverse)
• Heartwarming MG (authors I like: Gary D Schmidt, Kirsten Hubbard)
• diverse books in all genres (which should be a given)

But I'm always willing to go outside of my reading comfort zone, so if you're not sure if I'd be interested, ask anyway.

Other things to keep in mind:

• If I'm sent a book (or a lot of times even if I just win a book from a contest), I will for sure post a review of it, and link to places you can buy it, as well as relevant author links.
• I will always be honest in my reviews, so if you are going to send me a book because you think you are guaranteed a glowing review, maybe don't. That being said, I much prefer posting reviews when I like a book, so take a chance! :)
